Gabe loved science today

There's just something about the stars in Montana. There's nothing like it. There's more up there than I've ever seen anywhere else. Some nights when your outside, you catch your breath- that's how wonderful they are. One year, Gabe gave me the best Christmas present I think I ever got. He took me for a walk to his favorite star-gazing spot, and we sat in the snow and waited. We waited five minutes or so, and sure enough, we saw a shooting star; and then another...and another...and another! It was so amazing. I don't know who is more thrilled. We both have a thing for space.

Today for school, we were studying about the Apollo Moon landing and watched some cool old footage of it.
We also studied moon phases and celebrated Oreo's 100th Birthday at the same time.

(...curse you, hcg diet....)

Thanking God for the internet. They have lots of interactive science activities for kids
that learn differently.

~Talk about brave!

~Astronomy must haves for the Kinesthetic Learner. Super fun, activity based book.
The software that came with the telescope wouldn't load, which was a bummer, but it was a favorite gift nonetheless.

When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?
Psalm 8: 3,4
