I was cleaning out my wallet today when I happened upon a little verse that took me back to my Sunday school teaching days- we were learning about God's sovereignty in our lives and how comforting this is, especially when life gets hard. I'm pretty sure that this little clock has been carried in one wallet or another of mine over the last thirteen years. Funny to find it now in the midst of another life change.
As an exercise, we all considered those personal things that we were entrusting to God and His timing. I suppose that because my lifestyle was always a transient one, my prayer was to settle into a "normal life" (whatever that looks like).
Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself,
where she may have her young—
a place near your altar,
Lord Almighty, my King and my God
where she may have her young—
a place near your altar,
Lord Almighty, my King and my God
Psalm 84:3
It seems that the desire for having a home is wired in deep, and God knows this. In fact, He designed us that way.
-A good reminder from a Good Daddy.
